Lakeside Parents and Community,
I am honored to be part of an amazing administration team at Lakeside Junior High School. Before arriving at Lakeside my educational job path has taken me to Wilkinson Junior High and Oakleaf Junior High. Each of our tremendous schools in Clay County offer a very unique and valuable piece to what has become one of the top school districts in the state of Florida. Collectively, the Clay County School District has truly become “One Clay”.
While our aim is to elevate our students academically, we understand that our role is to elevate our students in a well-rounded fashion. Academics are the launching pad for the family atmosphere that Lakeside brings to our community. We offer a variety of programs that promote a well-rounded child. Among these offerings are athletics, art, drama, band, robotics, mentorship, cheer team, color guard, and so many more clubs. Lakeside Junior High is always looking for community involvement and sponsorship to deepen our opportunity to serve our students.
As a member of this Lakeside community, you serve a pivotal role in the success of Lakeside Junior High. We are here for you. We are here for our students. We are here for Clay County.
Thank you for allowing me to serve your “A” rated Lakeside school and community.

Assistant Principal, Megan Alfano
Lakeside Gator Parents, Students and Community Members,
I am honored to be your Assistant Principal. It is an honor to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. Prior to my time at Lakeside, I was an Algebra Teacher at Lake Asbury Junior before transitioning to Dean of Students. Most recently, I served as the Dean of Students at Fleming Island High School. However, I am excited to call Lakeside Junior High home.
I look forward to sharing my passion for education. I can guarantee you that everything I do, and every decision I make, will be based on what is best for the students. My goal is to help facilitate a safe, welcoming, respectful, and fun learning environment. I also believe it is important to create a school culture where all staff members truly believe all students can learn, and will learn. We strive to be a campus that goes above and beyond to make sure your student receives a great education, while also becoming a well-rounded individual.
Junior High School is the foundation for a strong academic future. Working together we can achieve academic, social and emotional growth for our students, so let’s make the most of these crucial years. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can do anything to assist your student or your family before, during, or after their tenure at LJH.
Go Gators!
